Diamond D Quarter Horses
Ranch Horses
Here is the group of horses that keep our ranch up and running. Without their help, it would
be a lot more difficult to keep going. Most of these nice horses are grade, but as they say,
you can't ride the papers. These are a good group of hard using horses. Many of these
horses are used to long days and wet saddle blankets. They do everything on our ranch,
gathering and sorting cattle, doctoring calves and sick cattle, dragging calves to the fire for
branding, trail riding, ranch roping, team roping, fence fixing, gathering cattle out of fires, and
some even go to work penning cattle at the local stock yard. Please take some time and get
to know the work force of the Diamond D.
Cabio Diablo
1994 Grade AQHA Brown Gelding
"D" is one heck of a horse! We only know his dams
bloodlines and they aren't too bad. He is a great-grandson
of Depth Charge, Shue Fly, and Grey Badger II. He will sure
cut a cow out of a herd! D is Cindy's main riding horse and
he has carried her many miles all over Lincoln County and
even taking a trip to Wyoming with her. He ran barrels in
competion 3 times, with the third time being the charm
coming in 4th out of 27.
Cat
2000 Grade Appendix AQHA Brown Filly
"Cat" is a daughter of Cabio Diablo. Her dam, Elvira, was
another of our good ranch horses that carried Dusty's
dad Doug for many years. Cat is still in the process of
getting started and will then go on to be Doug's horse. So
far she is very curious and has her dad's orneriness!
(Curiosity killed the cat you know!)
Cattle Kate
1996 Grade Buckskin Mare
"KT" is actually considered a pony. At only 13.2 hands
you wouldn't think she could keep up with the big
horses. Well, actually she not only keeps up with them,
she sometimes will out do them! KT's bloodlines are
unknown. She is one of Cindy's riding horses. We were
hoping she would turn into a kids horse, but she has a
little bit too much life for the youngsters!
D's Hot Ta Molli
2000 Grade AQHA Bay Mare
"Molli" is almost identical to her dam, Melba Rae! Her
sire is Cabio Diablo. Molli is the first foal out of Melba,
and the last foal by D. She is becoming a great ranch
horse. The tougher the work the better! Her bloodlines
include Shue Fly, Depth Charge, Roan Hancock, J B
King, and Gray Badger II.
Melba Rae
1992 Grade AQHA Bay Mare
"Melba" was Cindy's first personal ranch horse. Now, we all
use her to work on the ranch. With her quite, almost lazy
disposition, we can even trust her with Riley. Melba has done
it all on the ranch. Dusty has even started to do Ranch
Roping with her. She is a full blood Quarter Horse that was
never registered by her previous owners. Her bloodlines
include Roan Hancock, J B King, Chubby, Tonto Basin, and
Poco Bueno.
Peppy
1998 Grade AQHA Bay Mare
"Peppy" is by Cabio Diablo. She was starting to be an
excellent head horse for Dusty in Team Roping.
Unfortunately, Peppy got her back leg tangled in some
smooth wire and will never be sound for roping again. We
are hoping with her quiet disposition that she might make
Riley a good horse.
Please feel free to contact us about any of our good ranch horses. If you ever
need any cattle gathered contact us. We do hire out for gathering cattle,
branding, and more. Our most recent job has been gathering cattle out of fire
areas.

Macs Foxy Dallas
2000 AQHA Buckskin Mare
Foxy is an awesome ranch horse! She is everything her
sire is and more! We couldn't be prouder of this nice
mare and plan on putting her in the broodmare band in a
couple of years. Her dam was one of our best ranch
horses and Foxy is following in her footsteps. She has
done everything on our ranch and has even made an
appearance on TV!
JD
2004 Grade AQHA Palomino Gelding
JD is a very quiet and level headed youngster! He is just
getting a good start on the ranch and is doing great. JD is a
real pleasure to work with and stays quiet in a tight situation.
