Registered Australian Kelpies
This is the latest venture by Diamond D Quarter Horses. After doing a
LOT of research of working dogs, Cindy found the Australian Kelpie.
She lost her best friend and working dog 4 years ago and has been
searching ever since for the perfect cow dog. By talking with several
people who had different breeds of cow dogs, this is the one that
sounded the best. And, in our opinion they are! If you are looking for an
extremely smart, strong bonding dog, with great herding instincts, then
check these dogs out! We will still have our Border Collies and plan in
the future to cross the Border Collies on the Kelpies as well as have
some purebred Kelpies for sale. The dogs that we have are from some
of the best imported Australian bloodlines including the Karrawarra
lines. They have been bred to work cattle and sheep and seem to have
strong instincts for herding. We were fortunate enough to find these
great dogs from Seth Creek Kelpies. They have since quit raising the
Kelpies and our dogs were out of their last litter. Thank you Ron and
Molly Wilson for this great opportunity!!

Koi is my best buddy! She loves to go everywhere with me and is eager to learn.
I've been working with her on some basic commands and she has been picking up
on them quickly. I have used her a little this last summer and had a great time with
her. She sticks with me and is great for getting the cattle in a group and moving
them along slowly. While not as aggressive as Kym, with more confidence I think
she will also be a great working dog!

Roy is my other good buddy! Roy has a quite manner to him and loves to come sit by my feet.
His intense eyes are always watching every move I make and he's sure to not wander too far
away from me. I have also been working with him on his basic commands and he also has been a
quick learner. Roy has been started on cattle and wants to work. Unfortunately due to Roy being
related to my females and Dusty getting more into the Border Collies I have decided to sell Roy. I
have limited his training to basic commands so that his new owner will be able to teach him their
commands. Roy is ready to work and will be a great asset to anyone's program! Asking $1200

Kym is a nice aggressive female. While she looks like her sister Koi she is a total
opposite! When it comes to work, Kym is your girl. Very work minded, she will often
ignore the other dogs and have her total focus on working cattle. I love how quiet she
works the cattle and she does an excellent job of keeping them in a group. She is a good
buddy and LOVES the kids. Kym is good about minding her manners around the boys
and doesn't jump up on them. She does however love to give kisses!!
